There is a large parking lot at the front entrance to the school.  Please be aware that there are several spaces reserved for Weston Senior Center, which is housed in South House.  These spaces must be available to our seniors Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., but you are free to use them at all other times.  There is also a smaller parking area near the entrance to the bus loop in back of the school. A note of caution:  the Weston police occasionally monitor our school and issue tickets for illegally parking in handicap spaces, fire lanes and areas that are not designated as parking spaces.

Usually school starts 2 hours later than usual if there is a delayed opening.  This means that Hurlbutt Elementary School begins at 10:30 a.m.  Keep in mind that bus pick-up times are 2 hours later, too. If necessary, the superintendent may adjust the delayed opening time.  An email blast will be sent to alert you to this possibility.  Hurlbutt is dismissed at 12:35 p.m. in the event of an early closing due to dangerous weather or conference days.  Once again, if necessary, the superintendent may alter this time and you will be notified by email blast. 

Yes.  When you arrive, please stop at the security desk to sign in and get a visitor's badge.  You will need to have a photo ID to show to the security personnel.  You must sign-out when your visit is done.

Children can be dropped off at school no earlier than 8:15 a.m. (10:15 a.m. on delayed opening days) unless they are involved in a before-school program.  Before this time the school staff are involved in meetings and preparations for the day, and are not available to supervise.
