Welcome to Kindergarten….. an environment of happy faces, eager learners and active bodies! Kindergarten is a wonderful place to spend one’s day as a young learner!
Throughout the year children will learn how to solve problems like how to climb to the highest point of the playground or how to repair a friendship. They will become more independent and more responsible, and will learn so much about the joys of reading, writing and mathematics.
The goal of our kindergarten program is to provide a safe, warm and friendly environment that enables children to grow socially, academically and emotionally.
Kindergarten is a full-day program. The day begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3:15 p.m. Each kindergarten classroom teacher is assisted by a paraprofessional for a majority of the day. Students enjoy special classes such as art, music, world language (Spanish) health and physical education. There is a weekly book exchange in the Learning Resource Center. Classes also visit the LRC and computer lab for activities and projects supporting the curriculum.
