Weston Youth Services and Weston Parks and Recreation Department offer a variety of afterschool enrichment programs for students.

Weston Youth Services provides a range of programs and services to promote the health and well-being of our children and families. This includes after-school and summer activities for children, parenting workshops and discussion groups, social-educational events for families, as well as short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and referral services.

Weston Youth Services offers a variety of after-school programs at Hurlbutt Elementary School. Information on the classes offered is sent home in the students’ backpacks along with registration information prior to the beginning of each session. Although they can vary from session to session, classes that are often offered are:
Little Scientist Chess
Jazz/Hip Hop Clay
Drama Kids Karate
American Girls Magic
Photography Art
Weston Youth Services offers the WOW Program at Hurlbutt Elementary School. Classes are currently offered after school for three sessions: fall, winter and spring. Courses vary but often include art, chess, yoga, music, science, dance, magic, and more. Catalogs and registration forms are sent home with the children.

The town of Weston offers a variety of sports for our school age children. After school sports which may also include weekend games are sponsored by both The Town of Weston, Parks and Recreation along with private, nonprofit organizations managed by volunteers.

After-school Park and Recreation Department sports activities are seasonal and available to all Hurlbutt students. Registration information is available at the Parks and Recreation Department, Weston Town Hall and in the Weston Forum. Flyers also go home with the students throughout the school year.
