Dear Families, As we enter the final few days of school in November and Thanksgiving week, I have been reflecting on the tremendous community support we have here in Weston. From the participation in parent conferences to the ongoing generous support of the PTO and dedication of our staff, I am so thankful to be living and working in this amazing community. There is so much to be thankful for in Weston and I look forward to our continued support of one another. Happy Thanksgiving! Social Media Presentation This past Thursday, Weston had the pleasure of welcoming Max Stossel, an award-winning storyteller, filmmaker, and founder of Social Awakening, to our district. Max's work focuses on the intersection of technology, human well-being and connectedness. His presentations are designed to spark meaningful conversations about how we can support students in navigating the challenges of the digital world. During his visit, Max delivered two impactful presentations to our secondary students and hosted an evening event for members of our parent community. The parent presentation offered valuable insights into the challenges our students face with technology and provided strategies for fostering healthier relationships with it. Whether or not you were able to attend the event, I encourage you to watch the recording that Max has provided to us, available free on his website for the next month. You can access the recording here: Max Stossel Parent Presentation Thank you for taking the time to engage with this presentation. It directly supports two of our district improvement goals:
The presentation is relevant to all of us regardless of the age of our children. It encourages us to reflect on our own use of social media and the impact it has on our well being and our community.
