Dear Families,
Please note that Friday, October 10 is an early dismissal day for staff professional development. School is closed on Monday, October 13 for Columbus/Indigenous People Day observance. This past week was school picture day. If your student missed picture day, make up day is scheduled for Wednesday, December 3.
Lost and Found
Our lost and found collection is growing. If your child is missing an item, please ask them to check the lost and found. All of our students know where this is located and we are happy to help them find lost items. You are also welcome to check our lost and found by first checking in with security. Please avoid drop off and pick up times as our staff is fully engaged in these busy times of day. We encourage you to label your child’s belongings. When items are labeled it is easy for us to return them to the students.
School Lunch
This past week our students had additional items available for purchase in the cafeteria. Please review those options with your child. This link: Lunch Menus will take you to the culinary services section of the website and the school lunch menus. Please note there is a lunch menu and a separate a la carte, beverage and snack menu so be sure to check out both. It is our recommendation that you review these items with your child and set some clear expectations about what you want them to purchase. If you are interested in placing any restrictions on your child’s account, please email foodservices@westonps.org
Math Workshops
We are pleased to invite you to our annual parent & guardian math workshops, Understanding Elementary School Mathematics. Our goal is to help you understand the math your child is learning and allow you to better support their learning at home. These sessions will be interactive and hands-on, so come excited to learn some new ways to think about mathematics!
Kindergarten: Thursday, October 23rd, 9:15-10:45 a.m.

Grades 1 & 2: Wednesday, October 29th, 9:15-10:45 a.m.
1st & 2nd Grade SIGN UP HERE
Reservations are needed and space is limited, as we need to know how many sets of materials to prepare. Please note the sessions are grade level specific. If you have students in both grade bands you can sign up using both forms or pick one of your choosing.
